After discovering that the Mudgee wine region has similar climatic conditions to the Rioja region in Northern Spain, Vinifera owners, Tony and Debbie McKendry, on an inspired journey into the world of Spanish wine. Their resulting Tempranillo, Garnacha blends, Graciano and Gran Tinto wines are good-living reds that complement foods wonderfully.

A long, generally dry growing season with cool nights & lots of sunlight which allows full ripeness most years has meant that Vinifera is also able to produce excellent Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and the much awarded Semillon - both crisp and dessert varieties.

Our cellar door includes a covered outdoor area with beautiful views across the valley to the hills - the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a BBQ and wine with friends and family.
